currently they are WMA files, but she needs to change them to mp3's to be compatible with a mac. How can she do this. I'm not sure what version of iTunes she has but I'm pretty sure it's an older version.I have a friend who is trying to transfer her music to iTunes from a Windows. How can she convert the files?

itunes will automatically ask if you would like to convert wma file to mp3 format.
she has to bake them a cake
you can ask your friend to try uSeesoft Audio Converter, it is a video/audio to audio converter that can convert wma, wmv, mp4, mov, aac, etc. to mp3,wav,etc. hope this will be helpful for you.
