How big do Teacup Yorkies need to be in order to have puppies without almost killing the mom?

I have a 3.8 lb teacup yorkie and would love for her to have puppies but am afraid she wont make it. I know some small male yorkies that I could breed her with so her puppies would be super small. How big do Teacup Yorkies need to be in order to have puppies without almost killing the mom?
i think you guys are all really rude, when people say teacups they are just refering to the size of the dog. they are not trying to say its a new breed of any kind. i do agree breeding a dog under 5 lbs is not a good idea. just because a dog is tiny does not mean it is sick. i have two yorkshire terriers and they are under 4lbs and they are perfectly healthy. i dont think i am mean because i wanted small dogs for my family. we all have our opinions. How big do Teacup Yorkies need to be in order to have puppies without almost killing the mom?
3.8 lbs is fully within the Yorkshire breed standard. If you have a piece of non-living china, then you do indeed have a teacup. What you bought, and paid more for than you should have, is a Yorkshire terrier. No ';teacup,'; no ';micro,'; just a Yorkshire terrier.

Your dog should not be bred, period. If you're not willing to show her and get her screened for congential disease (which she does have, since you bought from a crap breeder), then she needs to be spayed as soon as possible. This world does NOT need more non-typey, genetically sick dogs.

Why do you add ';her puppies would be super small';?? Creating runts is NOT the point of breeding!! Breeding to PRESERVE and IMPROVE the breed by temperament, confirmation, and genetic health IS THE POINT. Not small dogs that are born with malformed hearts, hernias, thyroid problems, and wonky knees.
';Super small';? You have GOT to be kidding me...

3.8 pounds is roughly Yorkie STANDARD. You have a Yorkie, not a ';teacup'; anything. ';Teacup'; is a cutesy term BYB scum use to sell their runt-type pups for high prices.

Your b*tch is not breeding quality. Chances are she isn't even healthy.

She is HIGH risk of death not because of her size so much as the fact that you don't have a CLUE as to what you are doing.

Know anything about breeding cycles? What to do if the dogs don't get along or the male turns and attacks your girl? What about her care during pregnancy? When to call the vet? Whelping signs? Whelping complications and how to deal with them? When to call a vet? When a c-section is needed? How to hand raise pups if she rejects them or dies? How to wean?

What about money, got $2,000 MINIMUM for her care? What about another $2,000 in case she needs a c-section?

Know anything about placing pups? Choosing homes? How to write up AND follow through with a legally binding contract? Your rights as the breeder?

Honestly, if you CAN breed her then she is not breeding quality - well bred animals are on contracts to prevent BYBing and puppy milling.

There are no such things as ';teacup'; Yorkies. Your dog is considered NORMAL SIZE for a Yorkshire Terrier, which has no minimum weight. However, no dog under 4 pounds should be bred. It is not safe for them. Even if you had shown her, had her fully health tested with excellent results, it still would not be safe to breed her, you would be significantly endangering her life. http://www.yorkielane.com/Health/yorkiem鈥?/a>

too small.

No reputable breeder I know will use a female under 4 pds. The fact that you think she is a ';teacup'; shows that she's not breeding quality anyways.

Get her spayed, enjoy her as a pet, not your personal ATM machine.
You were ignorant for buying a teacup in the first place...because you paid for a overpriced runt. They don't freaking exist.

Don't be dumb this time around and try to breed the *****....She is way too small to have pups.
any ';teacup'; anything should not be bred. yorkies are small and a female under 4 and 1/2 pounds should not be bred! though 5 pounds is preferred. please don't breed this dog.
Breeding a runt to produce more runts not a smart move tea cups are not a breed they are a BYB money making scam please spay your dog
Why would you want to breed a sub-standard dog?
about 10 pounds and 15 years old.
