How to make her chase me?

Okay I am still in love with the mother of my child and we have been together for 4 years and within those years we have had a break up to make up relationship. I am tired of all the crap that we put each other through (I can only speak for myself with my mistakes), but nevertheless, I want to fix the relationship and I want to marry her. We have a family, and she wants me around 24/7, but she keeps saying that we are just friends because she doesn't want a relationship. I have told her that I want her back and that I love her. However, I feel like I am coming across desperate and it's turning her off, and she is not responding to my attempts to fix things and get back with her officially. Like I said she wants to play husband and wife but she doesn't want to take to final leap again. I don't know what to do. I know that by me continuing to tell her how I feel and our relationship, that I come across desperate. I can't live with out her, but I want her to chase me. How can I act like I'm not desperate and have her chase me so that we can fix our relationship. I spoke to her cousin, she said that not all is lost because she was talking to her about our relationship and she said that I still have a big chance to win her back.
