How to ask your mom for a bra?

im 14 and i dont have a bra. ive gone through almost one whole year of 9th grade. it feels like im the only girl out there without one. some times it can get very embarrassing. i want to feel and be treated my age, not some 10 year old that is treated like a little kid. once i was even called a 10 year old by a kid. what am i supposed to do. my friends make fun of it and even tell other people i dont like and then they make fun of me. also it feels like people dont want to be my friend because of it. all of my friends wear one and they talk about it too right in front of me, i feel akward. i need a way to ask my mom for one. i cant go up to her and do it and theres no way im going behind her back and buying one. even though i havent gone through puberty and im still flat, but theres got to be a point that you kind of just have to get one. come on what am i supposed to do... get a bra when im 17? hah i hope not.

just even comment if you are in the same situation or was and what you are doing or didHow to ask your mom for a bra?
ew how do u change in gym?How to ask your mom for a bra?
well just ask your mom

in the end she'll end up buying one anyways

your girl, cmon
I'm not sure why you can't just ask her for one...if you need a convoluted excuse, say that you would like to get some sports bras for P.E., and while you're out shopping try on some other, regular bras and ask her to buy them.

Also, if your ';friends'; are poking fun at you, they're not ';friends'; at all. That's the lamest thing to make fun off. Everyone develops at different times. And the part about people not liking you because you don't wear a bra; that's all in your head sweetie. If you're as flat as you claim to be, people likely don't even notice.
Honey, every woman has to wear a bra...Don't be embarrassed about this. I'm surprised your mom hasn't talked to you about this....Anyways, just sit down with your mom and tell her that it's time to go bra shopping....It can actually be a fun thing buying pretty/cute bras...

Good luck and don' t be embarrassed!
You have no reason to be embarrassed about wanting to get a bra. Ask your mom to go shopping at a store that sells bras, like Target. Then while your there say that you need to get bras. Its really simple and not even made a big deal. Im sure your mom will e happy to help you out! Good Luck! Dont be embarrassed, its part of growing up!
just be like ';Hey mom do you think you can take me to go get some bras? tank tops are really not for me no more and i would feel more comfortable in a bra.'; it's really that easy why wouldn't she buy you one in the first place come on your 14 years old im sure she will buy you one
When i asked my mom i just told her that i didn't want to change in gym without one and that an undershirt made it too many layers to wear all day. Just ask her. it isn't too bad when its over. And even if you are a little flat you can still get training bras that look like real ones but don't have wires and some that aren't padded
ok just be like mom im getting old and im not a little princess i have boobs and i need a bra....... she'll understand and if she says no be like im the only girl in skool without a bra and it feels really wierd.....
Yeah, there comes a point where it doesn't matter if you've got anything up there, you just need to get a bra... it helps you to get used to them. Just go to your mom and tell her that you feel like you need to at least get a training bra so you can get used to them... she's gone through the whole bra-buying thing as well, and she'll understand. There's no need to feel embarrassed... even if you haven't quite hit puberty yet, it's still perfectly fine to wear a training bra at your age.

As for your friends, you need to tell them to chill! The fact that they're saying stuff about you behind your back... yeah, they just need to knock it off.
Had the same problem and im in 7th. actually last friday i had that problem. So we went shopping for spring/summer clothes last weekend and we went into Victoria's secret. I walked past a bra that was cute and just said hey that's really cute and she grabbed a few other cute ones and told me to try them on. i ended up getting 5 lol. so i would just make a casual hint and if that doesn't work just be like MOM CAN I GET A BRA PLEASE! i mean if the hint doesn't work then you need to flat out say it!
okay well first things first ignore all the rude comments.:( and two my cousin was in the same boat as you. its fine :). i say just ask her to go to the mall and once your there just ask her if you could have a training bra and even some real bras. just be straight about it. and i know how you feel about it being awkward to talk to your mom about that stuff. :) so just do it. everything turns out fine in the end.:) because all in all i think a mom would be excited to go bra shoping with you. i know my mom was. :)
hey im 14 too and im a little flat too lol but anyways i went through the same thing in 7th grade. i told my mom i wanted a padded bra because it was embarrassing to change in gym and i was too big for training bras. she totally understood and took me shopping. anyways i just think you should have a serious conversation with your mom and tell her that your growing up and you feel its time you should get a bra. im sure she'll understand. i mean was a young girl once. just buy some training bras to start and later on move on to padded bras. i hope i helped with your situation. good luck(:
